    DFW has many great places to celebrate Independence Day.

    July 2: Frisco Freedom Fest 2011

    What: Two Euro bungees, mini train, rock climbing wall. The festival includes a Community Stage, featuring local entertainers, and Hometown Hero Exhibit, showcasing our Police and Fire Departments. The Taste of Frisco returns, beginning at 4 p.m. Frisco restaurants will be serving some of their most popular menu items. Pizza Hut Park will host a Major League Soccer match between FC Dallas and the Columbus Crew. The grand finale of Frisco Freedom Fest is the 20-minute sizzling fireworks display.

    July 2, 2011: Liberty by the Lake / The Colony

    What: The 26th Annual Liberty by the Lake festivities begin at 7:45 a.m. with a one-mile run followed by 5K and 10K runs. The annual parade starts at 10 a.m. The Fun Zone's gates open at 4 p.m. with climbing wall, mechanical bull, obstacle courses, face painters, balloon artists All-access passes $5 (4 and under) and $10 for 5 and older. Enter the Salsa Shootout. Salsa sampling begins at 6 p.m. Registration is $10. Fireworks will be shot over Lake Lewisville at 9:30 p.m. and the show is choreographed to patriotic music that will be broadcast and live on 99.9 FM.

    July 2: Fireworks after the Frisco RoughRiders Baseball Game

    Bring the family out to Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco for some baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and ... well, I'm not sure about the apple pie, but I'm certain there will be fireworks!
    To celebrate America's birthday, Dr Pepper Ballpark is treating fans to a spectacular fireworks display after each RoughRiders game Friday, July 4, 2011 through Monday, July 4, 2011. The fireworks shows are weather and wind permitting. The ballpark is the best vantage point to watch the show; however, Frisco locals can park in the surrounding areas like Stonebriar Centre and catch a great view of the fireworks.

    Fireworks Showtime: 9:30 p.m.
    Where: Addison Circle Park, Bud Light Main Stage, 4970 Addison Circle Drive, Addison, TX
    What: Kaboom Town! celebrates its 26th anniversary with a festival beginning at 5 p.m. Food, music, kid's activities including rock climbing, giant slide, fun inflatables, sand art, free movie, an obstacle course and much more.

    July 3: Farmers Branch "Liberty Fest"

    What: Annual Farmers Branch Independence Day Celebration. Gates Open at 6:30 p.m. Free Admission. Fireworks at approximately 9:35 p.m. Admission is free. Professor D performs a free concert at 8 p.m. Kid's activities bounce house, face painting, concessions available, take a tour of the historical structures.

    July 3-4: Grand Prairie: Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks at Lone Star Park

    What: The annual Lone Stars & Stripes Fireworks Celebration will feature two nights of spectacular fireworks on Sunday, July 3 and Monday, July 4, 2011 following the last races which begin at 5 p.m. both days.
    On July 3, one lucky customer will drive away in a new 2011 Chevy Silverado. Customers will be able to receive an entry form at the admission gates on each race day from Thursday, June 16 through Sunday, July 3.
    On July 4, Lone Star Park will be giving away a trip for four (4) to Washington, D.C.

    July 4: Arlington Highlands July 4th Celebration

    What: Arlington Highlands July 4th Celebration. Bring the whole family for an evening of fun and festivities at the Arlington Highlands July 4th Celebration with live entertainment by Hard Day's Night. Free face painting and Sno-Cones from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. (First 2,000 Sno-Cones are free. They are $1 afterwards).
    When: Monday, July 4, 2011 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fireworks Extravaganza begins at 9:30 p.m.

    July 4: City of Bedford 4thFest

    What: An Independence Day Celebration with an Circus twist. 4thFEST Big Top Celebration includes a free concert, InflataFUN Zone, a variety of circus family fun FREE activities, festival-style culinary delights and of course, the spectacular fireworks extravaganza.
    When: Monday, July 4, 2011 from Noon to 11 p.m.
    Where: 2801 Forest Ridge Road, Bedford Boys Ranch Park, Bedford, TX
    Parking: There is no on-site parking. Parking and shuttle service for $4 per person will be offered at Pennington Field, 1501 Central Drive. The last shuttle TO the Boys Ranch Park will leave Pennington Field at 9:30 p.m.
    Bring: Lawn chairs, blankets, coolers and non-alcoholic beverages.
