    On June 6, Sweden's national day, Slottsskogen is the place to be if you want join the Swedes and celebrate. Throughout the day there will be free entertainment with live music and dancers.

    One of the highlights of the Slottsskogen celebrations is the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, which will put on a free concert at 14.00.

    There will also be a ceremony for new Swedish Citizens next to Stora Dammen in Slottsskogen. There will be "fika", Swedish folk dancing, live music and children activities like face painting. The ceremony starts at 11:00 and this is the first time it will be open to the public as well.

    For more celebrations, head to Tjolöholm's palace in Kungsbacka. In the palace garden, there will be live music, Swedish folk dancing, children activities, a handicrafts exhibition and a ceremony for new citizens. This event has a 20 kr admission fee for adults, and the program goes from 12:00-15:30.

    The picnic festival is an annual event on the national day. The festival takes place at Apslätten in Härlanda and the theme is diversity and community. There will be a stage with live music for all ages as well as a jumping castle for children. Last year around 7000 people took part in the event.
