Frist Center Blue Star Museum

The Frist Center for the Visual Arts joins more than 1,300 museums across the nation to participate in the Blue Star Museums program to offer free admission to active duty military personnel and up to five immediate family members. The Blue Star Museums program runs from Memorial Day, May 30, 2011, through Labor Day, September 5, 2011.
6/3-6/5 Franklin Theatre Grand Reopening
The newly renovated Franklin Theatre is celebrating it's grand reopening celebration from June 3-5, and festivities include a 1930s themed street party in downtown Franklin and a late-night screening of Gone With the Wind.

Following its successful summer 2010 concert in Nashville, TN, Vox Humana will present a choral concert, "I'm Gonna Sing", at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Franklin, TN on Saturday, June 4 at 7:00 PM and First Lutheran Church in Nashville, TN on Sunday, June 5 at 3:00 PM. This professional ensemble brings together the finest in choral talent from around the United States, and is led by Artistic Director Dr. David Childs. The concert will include music composed by Whitacre, Mendelssohn, Hogan, Lauridsen, Purcell, and Childs. Tickets to both concerts are available at Brown Paper Tickets or by calling 1-800-838-3006.

That Little Ol' Band From Texas, blues-rock icons ZZ Top, are scheduled to play Nashville's premiere outdoor music venue The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel on Sunday, June 5, 2011. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 29, 2011 through all Ticketmaster locations and the Fontanel Box Office.
6/6 CMA Global Artist Party
CMA Global Artist Party is held Monday, June 6, at The Stage on Broadway. Kicking off at 6:30 PM/CST with a special performance from legendary guitarist and Australian native Tommy Emmanuel, the evening also features performances from Kaylee Bell (New Zealand), Dean Brody (Canada), Chad Brownlee (Canada), Diana Corcoran (Australia), Luke Dickens (Australia), McAlister Kemp (Australia), O’Shea (Australia), Raintown (UK) and Marlee Scott (Canada).
